Tbh, I used 80 level booster and explored low level maps after that and I regret that since the day 1. The problem is everythirg about your character is in your table and you dont know what you need to use properly.
1-80 is just the core game, Now you have 10 years worth of releases to go explore. There's no real one way to do things It's up to you to choose. Personally I recommend following the story in Order of the story journal, It's one long continuous story so going straight to expansions will spoil a lot.

2. The build decides if a Char is squish or not, i have seen unkillable Elementalists in WvW or Necros soloing Content made for 5-10 people. 3. If you decide to level normally you get a ,,natural,, feeling for your core class, especially if you try different builds and weapons.
